Zinkly is an independently operated digital social platform, not (yet) a registered company — see our Legal Notice for our current operating status. This document describes how Zinkly actually works today and will be kept up to date as that changes.
Zinkly ("Zinkly", "we", "us", "our") is a social networking service operated from Corfu, Greece. You can contact us at zinklystudio@gmail.com (legal/privacy) or support@zinkly.org (general support).
By creating an account or using Zinkly, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, our Community Guidelines, and our Acceptable Use Policy, all of which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use Zinkly.
Zinkly is only available to individuals aged 18 or older. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. We do not knowingly permit accounts belonging to anyone under 18; see our Child & Minor Safety Policy for how we handle suspected underage accounts.
You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You may not create an account for anyone other than yourself, share your account, or maintain more than one account for deceptive or abusive purposes. We support two-factor authentication and strongly recommend enabling it.
You retain ownership of the content you post to Zinkly (posts, photos, videos, reels, stories, comments, messages). By posting content, you grant Zinkly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (e.g. resize for display), distribute, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving Zinkly, for as long as your content remains on the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where content has been shared by others or retained as required by law or Section 15 (Data Retention).
You are solely responsible for your content and confirm that you own it or have the necessary rights and permissions to post it, including any music, images, or other third-party material. See our Copyright / DMCA Policy and Community Guidelines.
Where Zinkly integrates third-party music search (e.g. for Stories) to let you preview and attach a track, this feature is provided for convenience and previews only. Attaching a preview clip does not grant you, or Zinkly, a licence to the underlying musical composition or sound recording beyond what the third-party provider's own terms allow for that preview feature. You are responsible for ensuring your use of any music complies with applicable copyright law. Zinkly may disable or restrict this feature at any time, including per rights-holder request.
You agree not to use Zinkly to: post illegal content; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; harass, threaten, or bully others; post hate speech or content that incites violence; distribute malware or engage in fraud or scams; impersonate any person or entity; manipulate the platform (fake engagement, bots, spam); or otherwise violate our Community Guidelines or Acceptable Use Policy. A full breakdown of prohibited content categories is in our Community Guidelines.
We may review, restrict, remove, or otherwise act on content or accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law, using both automated tools and human review. Where we take action against your content or account, we will, where legally required and technically feasible, tell you what we removed, why (including the specific policy provision), and how to appeal. See our Content Moderation Policy and Appeals Policy.
Anyone — including people without a Zinkly account — can report content they believe is illegal using our Notice & Action mechanism. See our Report Illegal Content page.
Zinkly offers optional paid features (currently VIP subscription tiers), payable via the methods we make available (e.g. PayPal, bank transfer). Prices, included features, and billing terms are shown at the time of purchase. See our Refund / Cancellation Policy for cancellation and refund terms. If we introduce a virtual-currency, marketplace, or creator-payment system in future, additional terms specific to that feature will apply and will be presented to you separately.
Zinkly's name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the service normally.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, our policies, or applicable law, following the process described in our Content Moderation Policy where applicable. Some provisions of these Terms (including Sections 5, 11, 13, and 14) survive termination.
Zinkly is provided "as is". We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content posted by other users is accurate, lawful, or appropriate. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zinkly and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in this Section limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under Greek or EU consumer-protection law, or for death, personal injury, or fraud.
We are an intermediary hosting service. We do not endorse user content and do not proactively monitor all content, but we operate the notice-and-action, moderation, and reporting systems described in our policies to detect, review, and act on unlawful content and violations once we become aware of them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and applicable European Union law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence if you are an EU consumer. Disputes will first be addressed through our internal complaint mechanism (see Appeals Policy); EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you (e.g. by in-app notice or email) with reasonable advance notice before the change takes effect. Continued use of Zinkly after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
